There’s the intimidation factor that could really be of use during certain dynamics. In dangerous situations, the Barbarian could help gain information by using intimidating tactics. Utilize the Barbarian’s massive persona like a bodyguard for the party, and not even the town’s walls or crowds can keep this powerful character down.

The intelligent and all-knowing Wizard class is mighty and sharp. Spending most of their studious and scholarly days within the walls of might and magic. If the party encounters a giant mound on the ground, perhaps with grass growing over it, a Wizard could detect that it was from a battleground many years ago. This shows that the spellcasters can detect areas even in their least preferred environment. The intelligence of a Wizard is incredibly powerful no matter what circumstance they may endure.
Picking locks, disarming traps, and revealing secret doors, are just some of the abilities that the sly and stealthy Rogue class can perform. Dealing great damage as well as avoiding damage is incredibly beneficial to a Rogue’s performance and power. Rogues are very versatile, and depending on the Race of the character, can give them many advantages but also can stir up some limitations.
If your Rogue is an Elf or a Gnome with a natural element background, then being immersed in a forest wouldn’t be limiting at all. There are Wood Elves and Forest Gnomes that have abilities to guide them throughout the forests. But if your Rogue’s race is not of a woodsy kind, then most likely the forests could pose such limits.
The Rogue in its least preferred environment will most likely have to act as a scout. Gathering information with the use of their stealthy abilities. If the party runs into an orc camp, the Rogue can be sly and hide behind a ravine and obtain the information needed. If the party doesn’t have a Ranger, the Rogue could be utilized in such ways or the Rogue and Ranger could ultimately share abilities in different situations. Whether it’s finding leaders or taking an item in a camp, the Rogue has many advantages in an atmosphere where they typically would have obstacles to overcome.
